PROJECT BACKGROUND:
Feed the Future Egypt Rural Agribusiness Strengthening Project (ERAS) is a five-year USAID-funded activity, supported by the U.S. government’s Feed the Future initiative. The project aims improve the competitiveness of Egypt’s horticulture producers and related down-stream businesses and food processors. The project promotes a more competitive and inclusive Egyptian economy through growth in selected horticultural sectors with special focus on securing employment and increasing agriculture-related incomes of smallholder farmers.
The project operates in Greater Cairo, Upper Egypt, and the Nile Delta, with its main office in Giza.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Executive Secretary will report to the project Chief of Party. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned by the direct supervisor.
- Attend meetings and keep minutes.
- Maintain COP’s agenda and assist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating appointments, meetings, etc.
- Receive and screen phone calls and redirect them when appropriate
- Transcribe drafts, proofread and revise correspondence, memos, agendas, and meeting minutes
- Assists in the completion of various forms, notices, and other communications as assigned.
- Handle and prioritize all outgoing or incoming correspondence (e-mail, letters, packages etc.)
- Make travel arrangements for the COP
- Maintain electronic and paper records ensuring information is organized and easily accessible
- Conduct research and prepare presentations or reports as assigned
Job Requirements
- Proven experience as executive secretary or similar administrative role
- Proficient in MS Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- In depth knowledge of office management
- Familiarity with basic research methods and reporting techniques
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Outstanding communication abilities
- Integrity and confidentiality
- Degree in business administration or relative field
- English and Arabic languages fluency is a must. (Applicants MUST hold recent IELTS or TOEFL or equivalent English Proficiency Qualification.)
- Must be highly proficient in professional business writing. (English)
