Job Description

  • Based on sales forecasts, assists the MMD manager to formulate sourcing plans.
  • Reviews markets, price & delivery conditions, and trends to determine present and future materials availability.
  • Alert the MMD Manager.
  • Initiates requests for quotations against queries / requests received from users.
  • Receives and evaluates quotations, forwards to users.
  • Processes and releases Purchase orders on approved / specified vendors.
  • Makes sure that purchasing documents are completed properly and the terms and conditions of purchase are appropriate.
  • Ensure regular and effective follow up of open orders
  • Follows policies and procedures established by the Manager and monitors activates of purchasing clerks
  • Processes purchase order claims and contracts as per company policy.
  • Reviews weekly inventory trends and discussion variations with user staff.
  • Contacts suppliers / vendors when variations arise in delivery, quality , price , or conditions of sale.
  • Liaises between suppliers / Manufactures and relevant internal departments.
  • Keeps accurate records of price histories and problems in doing business with particular vendors.
  • Under the guidance of MMD manager, Purchase follows departmental quid lines and selects vendors on basis of price, capability, and past performance.
  • Under the guidance of the Manager, Purchase negotiates prices, discounts , credit terms and delivery etc.
  • Ensure efficient utilization of work force and maintains staffing levels based on company standards.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelors of Mechanical engineering  
  • 1-2 years of experience in the Supply Chain Filed
  • Deciding & Initiating Action
  • Leading & Supervising Skills
  • Communication skills
  • Persuading & Influencing Skills
  • Presenting & Negotiation Skills
  • Planning & Organizing
  • Problem solving skills
  • Good working knowledge of purchasing strategies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.Local Purchasing
  • Resident of Giza  /6 Oct & suburbs .
  • Good working knowledge of purchasing strategies.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP System
  • From 1 to 2 experience in steel factories
