Job Description

Intellectual property – support several countries

  • Update file and documents
  • Data entry in Arabic and English
  • Updates social media and follows strategy
  • Writes blogs and articles for newsletters in Arabic and English
  • Manages social media accounts and customer inquiries
  • Creates social media accounts on platforms which do not currently exist
  • Expertise in linkedin, facebook, twitter, Instagram
  • Follows up courier matters
  • Receives instructions from team members about filings in specific country
  • Completes Model (Translates classes, Completes class analysis)
  • Completes necessary documents for filing for some countries
  • Assist team with follows up
  • Maintains client files
  • Completes necessary notices
  • Prepares courier Keeps track of publications, downloads and watches official gazettes
  • Keeps track of deadlines and follows up with offices and client representative
  • Maintains current docket for assigned cases
  • Assists in researching contact details for potential watch infringements
  • Maintains the database and makes sure all information is updated
  • Assists in translating Arabic, English and French documents
  • Provides assistance and support to co-workers in the department as needed, to ensure that consistent, thorough support is given to the team
  • Pitches in to help out and do whatever is necessary to get the job done, not just doing the particular job function but also helping others on the team when necessary and capable
  • Helps preparing IP presentations
  • Assists with IP audits and control sheets
  • Assists with conducting legal research and investigations

Job Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail, highly organized, and eager to expand knowledge in the areas of intellectual property law
  • Ability to proactively assume high responsibility over assignments
  • A minimum of 4 years of administrative experience is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, such as Word and Excel, and have the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills are required.
  • Must have strong multi-tasking, problem solving and time management skills.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills - inspire others and lead them through influence.
  • A self-starter who can identify, prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak Arabic & English.
