Job Description
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization.
- Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital.
- Act to support the human factor in the company by devising strategies for performance evaluation, staffing, training and development etc.
- Oversee all HR initiatives, systems and tactics
- Develop corporate plans for a variety of HR matters such as compensation, benefits, health and safety etc.
- Monitor adherence to internal policies and legal standards
- Supervise the work of HR personnel and provide guidance
- Serve as the point of contact for employment relations and communicate with labor unions
- Report to Board members by analyzing data and using HR metrics
- Design compensation and benefits packages
- Manage performance review procedures (e.g. quarterly/annual and 360° evaluations)
- Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
- Implement and oversee Training activities after TNA processes.
- Develop fair HR policies and ensure employees understand and comply with them.
- Monitor HR department’s budget.
- Review current HR technology and recommend more effective software (including HRIS and ATS)
- Measure employee retention and turnover rates
- Manage the recruitment and selection process
- Maintain pay plan and benefits program
- Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics
- Deal with grievances and violations invoking disciplinary action when required
- Anticipate and resolve litigation risks
- Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management
- Oversee daily operations of the HR department
- Oversee the Administration department daily operations
Job Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of experience in HR with at least 3 years as HR Director / Manager
- Deep understanding of Labor Law and employment equity regulations.
- In depth knowledge of all HR functions and best practices.
- HR certificates are mandatory
- Masters degree is a plus
- Efficient HR administration and people management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- computer literacy with capability in email, MS Office and related HR software
- Remarkable organizational and conflict management skills.
- Strong decision-making and problem solving skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
