Job Description
- Lead estimation team, provide technical support, revise tasks and supervise performance.
- Support Estimation head to Build and maintain pricing / estimating databases
- Study the project’s documents, drawings, specifications, method of measurement, schedule and materials required.
- Preparing Initial tender report and revise with the estimation head
- Lead team & Coordinate estimation process for the projects assigned, Prepare and update Estimation Process Schedule and ensure timely delivery for the tender.
- Conducting site visits, and providing other services, like bid deliveries, when required
- Works with the operations team throughout the preconstruction process in reviewing plans and specifications for constructability issues and determining general requirements on the Project
- Support the Virtual Design (BIM) Department to utilize Revit or other programs in generating quantities as may be available from design models.
- Review and prepare cost breakdown studies for each item (labor, material, equipment, subcontractors),
- Coordinate, Prepare and review Indirect Plan for the Project.
- Reviewing and Establishing project budget and discuss it with concerned.
- Coordinate handing over tender file to the operations team & Cost Control team.
- Attend client, Consultant meeting for negotiating variation orders.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a similar field.
- 8+ years of experience in a relevant experience
- Proven work experience as a cost estimator.
- Advanced knowledge of construction and engineering processes.
- High-level mathematical skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Advanced analytical skills.
- Proficient with computer estimation software, specially “Candy” is a plus
- Good project management skills.
