Summary

As a Sales Engineer, you know how to translate market opportunities into specific sales activities thereby enabling the company to increase its sales and profit. 

We require an enthusiastic and talented sales engineer to drive our sales efforts. Petromine has accrued an industry-leading reputation for the excellence of our solutions and our ability to understand and meet the specific needs of our customers. 

One role will be to expand the market awareness of our products and expertise, develop our sales knowledge in this industry, and bring critical customer requirements back into the development and marketing processes. You will ensure that our customers always have Petromine’ products in mind when doing business. 

You will work in concert with our customers to build relationships.

Through the market information you obtain via the sales channels, you will analyze the industry segments and target new areas for potential growth. You will participate and contribute with your ideas to further develop the sales strategy. 

Part of the job will be to make presentations for customer visits, participate in one-day seminars, quote preparation, and follow through the entire sales process. The position also includes sales/marketing planning and budget responsibility.

 Work activities 

  • Searching for new leads maximizing client potential in designated regions.
  • Developing long-term relationships with customers through managing and interpreting their requirements. 
  • Working on customer satisfaction in terms of technical needs, quality, price, and delivery. 
  • Negotiating tender and contract terms and conditions to meet both customer and company needs. 
  • Providing pre-sales technical assistance and product education, and supporting the after-sales team.
  • Analyzing costs and sales. 
  • Preparing reports for management. 
  • Meeting regular sales targets and coordinating sales projects. 
  • Supporting marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events.
  • Making technical presentations and demonstrating how a product meets the customer’s needs.
  • Liaising with other members of the sales team and other technical experts. 
  • Helping in the design of custom-made products. 
  • Resolve internal and external technical support requests or issues related to product selection, application, specification, installation, etc... 
  • Extensive interaction with customers, partners, and team via phone and email. 
  • Maintain expert level of product knowledge and application. 
  • Travel to project sites to perform start-up, integration, and training services.
  • Create, edit, and update Sales and Marketing collaterals as required. 

 

Job Requirements

  • BS in Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical, or related field preferred. 
  •  3+ years’ experience in Sales Engineering.
  • Self-motivated and focused with a passion for technology and an aptitude for customer satisfaction. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Strong negotiation skills. 
  • Exceptional Presentation skills as well as an experienced presenter in a group setting to both technical and business audiences 
  • Possesses strong analytical and troubleshooting skills 
  • Strong work ethic and “Can do” attitude 
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team. 
  • Positive objective-oriented attitude and is able to work well in demanding and fast-paced environments 
  • Must be willing to travel throughout Egypt. Some international travel may be required.
  • Fluent in Arabic and English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Outlook)
  • Read architectural, Civil, mechanical, and electrical blueprints 
  • Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systems 

Technical 

  • Must be able to read and interpret technical documentation (product specifications, datasheets, etc.) 
  • Working knowledge of technology 
  • Must be able to relay technical information to non-technical audiences in a clear and comprehensive fashion.
  • Familiar with NDT and Inspection field preferred.
