Job Description

A B2B Sales Manager is responsible for leading and managing a team of sales representatives to achieve revenue targets and drive business growth within a specific market segment. This role requires a combination of strong sales skills, leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of the target industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Team Leadership:

  • Recruit, hire, train, and develop a high-performing sales team.
  • Set and monitor sales targets for individual team members.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and support to the sales team.
  • Evaluate team performance and identify areas for improvement.

Sales Strategy Development:

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and target markets.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to stay informed about industry developments.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and decision-makers.
  • Understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals.
  • Resolve customer issues and complaints in a timely and effective manner.

Sales Performance Management:

  • Track and analyze sales performance metrics, including revenue, quota attainment, and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify areas of opportunity and implement corrective actions.
  • Prepare sales reports and presentations for management.

Pipeline Management:

  • Oversee the sales pipeline and ensure it is well-managed and prioritized.
  • Forecast sales revenue and track progress against targets.
  • Implement effective pipeline management tools and processes.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of success in B2B sales, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Strong sales skills, including prospecting, qualifying leads, and closing deals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of sales methodologies and CRM systems.
  • Experience in the target industry is preferred.
