Job Description
Main Purpose of Job: to seek, identify potential vulnerabilities, and attempt to breach existing weaknesses in digital systems and computing networks. These systems and networks include websites, data storage systems, mobile applications and other IT assets.
Responsibilities and Roles:
- Plan and conduct penetration methods, scripts, security tests on web-based applications, mobile applications and computer systems.
- Physical security assessments of servers, networks, systems and network device security.
- Conduct security audits by pinpoint ways that attackers could exploit weaknesses in security systems.
- Analyze security policies
- Write security assessment reports, bugs and discuss solutions with development team, IT team and management.
Skills and Abilities:
- Extensive knowledge and experience with networking, cryptography, reverse engineering, web applications, databases, and wireless technologies.
- Exceptional computer skills to attempt to hack into systems.
- Computer programming and scripting skills such as SQL, C++, C#, Java and Python.
- Excellent knowledge of Linux and Unix commands.
- Problem-solving skills to determine the most effective way to correct issues that arise.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience of Test Management Tools.
- Attention to detail, to be able to plan and execute tests while considering requirements.
- Strong written and oral communication skills to write reports and explain your methods to a technical and non-technical audience.
- Good time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines.
Job Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, information security, or computer science.
- From 2 to 4 years of relevant work experience.
- Training and certification courses in network security and the latest hacking techniques are required.
