Job Description
General
Understand and keep up to date with :
- System engineering technology and standards (architecture, servers, storage, virtualisation, redundancy, disaster recovery, uptime,...).
- Technical system requirements from a customer’s perspective, including its environment (adjacent systems, IT environment,...)
- Characteristics and capabilities of applied Philips & 3rd party systems.
Order acquisition process
- Advice on system capabilities and its application in solutions for Marketing purposes in general and Sales proposals in particular
- Assist in understanding (customer) requirements and their translation into the characteristics of proposed product/system/solution.
- Consult on, design and validate (best practice) system solutions for requirements set by the customer(s) and Philips (specs, budget, time)
- Specify the system engineering parts (technical and effort) to propose via standard quoting tools and/or bid team (for non-standard proposals)
- Contribute to feasibility studies, demos and Statement Of Work document
Order realization process
- Scoping, designing, building, deploying and/or integrating solutions
- Fulfilling software implementation deliverables such as detailed design documentation, system build, configuration and testing
- Analyzes the unique business, technical and clinical customer requirements to design, build and/or integrate the most appropriate solution
- Based on customer requirements, serves as a consultant to provide technical recommendations that best suit the environment
- Mentors and trains customers to maintain their systems
- Is a customer advocate and leverages insights to drive product decisions
- Resolve technical issues and offer proactive technical support
- Documentation of solutions to ensure support teams and other consultants can participate in support and onward development
- Contributes to the collective learning of Philips, seeking to share knowledge globally; assesses and shares repeatable processes that can be leveraged across multiple projects
- Practices strong configuration management and version control
- Execute activities as described in the Philips Excellence Process Framework
- Is a key member of the implementation project and/or service team; fosters collaboration through sharing experiences, information, perspectives, skills and expertise
- Drives continuous improvements of our implementation methodology and service offerings based on customer feedback
- Represents Philips professionally in both customer and internal team situations
Job Requirements
- Solid background in ICT engineering.
- Detailed knowledge of relevant operating systems, client server architectures, domain configuration, network infrastructures, databases, virtualization, system administration, remote monitoring.
- Detailed technical understanding of the applications to run on the systems
- Basic understanding of the related integration technology (e.g. brokers, HL7, DICOM)
- Basic project management understanding.
- Experience in Healthcare IT
- Fluent in English (verbal and in writing)
- Team player, dependable
- Customer focused while business aware
- Analytical (customer’s IT infra, system requirements & results)
- Consultative (from requirements/expectation to system design, including life cyle consequences)
