Job Description
- Negotiate rates, transportation and handling costs with shipping lines & overseas company agents
- Obtain rates & quote offers for shipping services required by customers
- Obtain, check and prepare documentation to meet customers requirements
- Co-ordinate the shipments with overseas agents
- Ability to handle a shipment from booking to delivery
- Complete invoicing and billing processes; assist in the investigation of billing issues and develops solutions for problems to ensure accurate invoices are provided to the customer in a timely manner
- Consistently meets the customer’s needs around shipment bookings, collections, delivery, and shipment updates
- Follow up with packing companies.
Job Requirements
- Experience: MUST be in the same field
- Good command of English - Written/Spoken
- Bachelor’s degree required Strong
- Communication skills and ability to work within a team.
- Work with exports that are shipped using sea, air and/or road freight.
- They will generally be responsible for managing the full export process for a shipment, from start to finish.
- Microsoft office proficiency
- International freight forwarding experience with current networks
