Job Description

Scope of Work:

  • The Health Manager is in charge of developing and monitoring a functioning model for the provision of quality primary health care to all refugees in Egypt. S/he will coordinate, align, harmonize and oversight issues of Health care services for refugees in Egypt and ensure that the program meets stated objectives within the timeframe and defined budget, with specific attention to ensuring quality and accountability of interventions.
  • She/he will perform his duties under the direct supervision of (...) Refugee office Director and the assistance of Refugee office Deputy Director and supervise the Medical Managers
  • However, She/he will oversee the Medical manager duties who is supervising the Medical staff and managing Clinics.
  • She/he will ensure liaison with public Health Unit, protection, Community services, and other units as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Contribute to project planning, including development, implementation, and monitoring of work plans, timelines, budgets, milestones, and deliverables.

• Contribute to the development of (...) strategy response for the refugee situation in Egypt and the planning and development of the health programme following the international humanitarian standards and principles and (...) policy and strategy.

• Manage overall data analysis from the patients' clinical records for monitoring disease incidence trends and measuring the impact of the delivered primary and referral medical care services and taking all through needed actions.

• Ensure data and evidence obtained through the programme activity are used effectively.

• Report to Program and Public health team focal points on all needed health information, data, trends and overall health well-being of PoCs feeding into addressed monthly, quarterly or yearly reports and monthly Health Information system reporting needs

• Monitor and evaluate the Referral network, for continuous follow-up and Quality assurance.

• Review and monitor the performance of the referral facilities, and overseeing the best use of accessible MOH, Public university hospitals, contracted hospitals for prioritized essential referrals within available resources.

• Monitor and assess the performance of (...) health project and the alignment with the project description and work plan.

• Conduct frequent clinic visits to ensure the quality of health care services

• Contribute to mainstreaming and enhancing access of POCs to public health services.

• Ensure good communication with Refugee populations about the programme and the implementing agencies, in coordination with all relevant actors

• Write, edit, and format presentations and reports related to assigned projects.

• Document project activities and accomplishments

• Collaborate with (...) different sectors complement the services provided

• Keep Project Managers informed about progress, milestones, potential and emerging challenges, and feedback from project partners

Job Requirements

Education:

  • Health professional Master’s in Public Health or a similar field is preferred
  • 3 years of experience in management/supervisory role
  • Ability and willingness to work and live in a diverse, challenging, and potentially unstable environment.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret policies and regulations.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English with strong drafting skills.
  • Ability to make oral presentations and write clear reports and guidance in English and Arabic.
  • Skilled in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Internet.
