Job Description: Site Engineer for Smart Homes

Company: GIMPEX

Location: Cairo, Egypt

As a Site Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and technical support of smart home products. You will play a key role in ensuring our customers receive high-quality service and support, helping them navigate and integrate the latest smart home technologies. Additionally, you will manage and oversee installation technicians, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and configure smart home products on-site.
• Test and evaluate all smart products offered, writing detailed test reports.
• Provide technical support for the installation and configuration of smart home products.
• Act as the expert for customers, handling installation and on-site problem-solving.
• Research and stay updated on smart home, connected home, and IoT trends.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

• University Graduate (Engineering, Computer Science, Telecom, IT, or relevant field).
• Excellent experience in wired and wireless smart home technologies (Z-Wave, Zigbee, Wi-Fi, etc.).
• Knowledge of smart home platforms.
• Passionate about smart homes and IoT products.
• Fluent in English.
• Demonstrates ownership, engagement, and responsibility for work.
• BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject.
• 1-5 years of working experience in home automation systems and light current systems, including CCTV, Intercom, audio systems, PBX, Intrusion systems, fire alarm.
• Solid knowledge of LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi networks, TCP/IP protocols, and network technologies.
• Outstanding diagnostic, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Good knowledge of KNX and Programming (preferably certified).
• Ability to manage individuals at all levels effectively.
• Proficient in MS Office, MS Project, MS Visio, and AutoCAD.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• High organizational skills and ability to manage stress and meet deadlines.
