Job Description
- Prepares structural engineering designs computations, sketches, and review final design drawings/documents.
- Provides technical guidance to Design Engineers, CAD Designer/Drafters working on the same project.
- Prepares and issues specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents.
- Strong experience and understanding of ACI Code (American Concrete Institute Code).
- Strong experience and understanding and reviewing of Post Tension Concrete (P.T).
- Manage and participate in the creation of Structural BIM models.
- Coordinate Structural Revit Models with different disciplines to obtain zero clash zero federated model.
- Assist in the BIM Project Setup: template formation, library creation, family creation, etc.
- Strong understanding of cross-discipline work, interfaces, and sequencing for all phases of a project.
- Well versed in project setup, instituting work processes, monitoring a team, execution, and closeout.
- Review designs prepared by others as part of a Quality Management Process.
- On-time delivery and high quality (first-time-right) of engineering deliverables of your team.
- Review the structural design package, check the safety of structural elements and coordination with Arc, MEP requirements, Value Engineering.
- Supervise and manage the review and approval of EPC Contractor’s work, ensuring compliance with Owner and Project specifications, relevant codes and standards, and industry best practices.
- Ensure quality and accuracy of EPC Contractor’s Structural Engineering design activities, system integration, and design selection.
- Coordinate the technical guidance required to develop new specifications and update existing specifications in line with Owner requirements.
- Contribute input and expertise in the development and analysis of various design options and business models to ensure design optimization and validation for the Owner.
- Follow up and troubleshooting of construction Site Clarification Requests-(SCRs).
- Preparation of technical submittals, methods statements, technical notes, design alternatives, etc.
- Furnished a full structural plan and detailed drawings according to the design results.
- Design and interpret design results with the aid of structural design programs with the governing codes.
- Choose appropriate materials based on structural specifications.
- Track and report on project progress.
- Collaborate with contractors and project managers.
Job Requirements
- A Bachelor degree in civil engineer.
- Previous working experience in Megaprojects.
- Ex Consultant companies.
- Etabs, safe, SAP, Revit, Autocad.
- Excellent experience with Revit/3D Modelling.
- Coach and Mentor to all within the department.
- Able to guide integrated database approach.
- Planning and maintaining delivery schedule, quality checks, and design review of task done by colleagues.
- On-time delivery and high quality (first-time-right) of engineering deliverables of your team.
- Guiding team of Structural engineers in your team on day-to-day basis for customer orders, sustaining engineering task etc.
- Participate in design reviews for continuous improvements.
