Job Description
- Lead the production planning strategy and define departmental objectives aligned with the company’s overall business and S&OP strategy.
- Review, validate, and approve annual and monthly sales forecasts in coordination with Sales and Supply Chain teams.
- Convert demand forecasts into optimized production, material, and capacity plans using ERP systems (MRP & MPS).
- Ensure data accuracy and system readiness by overseeing BOMs, routings, and master data within the ERP system.
- Coordinate closely with Production, Maintenance, and Technical teams to balance capacity, operating hours, and line loading.
- Develop annual and rolling procurement plans to support production requirements and financial planning.
- Lead cross-functional planning meetings (daily, weekly, monthly) to manage deviations, mitigate risks, and ensure on-time customer deliveries.
- Monitor and improve key operational KPIs including productivity, scrap, downtime, forecast accuracy, and capacity utilization.
- Manage inventory performance by reducing slow-moving and obsolete stock and maintaining effective ABC classification.
- Lead, develop, and evaluate the Production Planning team, establishing performance metrics and continuous improvement initiatives.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Production Engineering, with a postgraduate degree or professional certifications in Supply Chain or Operations Management preferred.
- 7–12 years of experience in Production Planning, Supply Chain, or Operations within a manufacturing environment, including at least 2–5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Proven experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Dynamics, including MRP and MPS.
- Strong knowledge of Production Planning, Capacity Planning, Demand Forecasting, and S&OP processes.
- Advanced understanding of Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, lead times, and inventory management.
- Experience in developing procurement and material planning strategies and translating operational data into actionable plans.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in managing and developing planning teams, setting KPIs, and monitoring performance.
- Strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving, risk management, and decision-making abilities under pressure.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions.
- Very good in English (written and spoken) and skilled in MS Office, ERP systems, and planning or BI tools.
