Job Description
The responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
•Student Support: Assist international students with admissions, visas, residency, and other services; coordinate orientation programs and cultural events.
•Event Coordination: Organize and execute events such as orientations, cultural festivals, and student networking activities.
•Incoming International Student: Develop and implement comprehensive orientation programs for incoming international students.
•Communication: Draft newsletters, emails, and updates; serve as a point of contact for international students and provide information and referrals.
•Residency Support: Assist with visa and residency-related inquiries, collaborating with immigration advisors for compliance.
•Student Clubs: Facilitate student clubs and organizations for international students.
•Data Management: Track student data, prepare reports, and assist in gathering feedback to improve services.
•Administrative Support:
o Prepare reports and statistics related to international student enrollment and success.
o Coordinate with other departments and offices to ensure seamless student support.
o Stay informed of relevant residence laws, regulations, and best practices in international student support.
o Any other tasks relevant assigned to you by your line manager.
Job Requirements
- Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree. - Experience:
Previous experience in student support services, international student advising, or event coordination is preferred. Experience working with international students and familiarity with visa and residency processes is highly desirable. - Communication Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft newsletters, emails, and informational materials clearly and effectively. - Interpersonal Skills:
Strong interpersonal and intercultural skills to assist diverse student populations and facilitate student organizations. - Organizational Skills:
Proven ability to plan, organize, and execute events and orientation programs efficiently. - Team Collaboration:
Ability to work collaboratively with university departments, immigration advisors, and student organizations.
