Job Description
- Support O&M for SDH and optical network
- Lead the Preventive & corrective maintenance for overall transmission network
- Software upgrade for, SDH & DWDM equipment
- Opticl Network Capacity Utilization, expansion & optimization
- Quarterly Network Health Check & Rectification of all major issues
- Provide technical support for NOC SLM related with transmission faults for DWDM/SDH
- To propose Optimization schemes for traffic protection in case of single point of failure
- Provide L2 support in fault handling for SDH/DWDM system in 24/7 environment
- Monthly inspections of Networks and generate inspection report
- To resolve all Critical, Major and Minor issues and technical queries within a defined SLA.
- Nationwide coordination with Field support Engineers
- Support Protection Switching test for all SDH & DWDM protection groups.
- Attending all planned activities at any time pertaining services such as migration, testing, Commissioning, upgrading, downgrading, planned troubleshooting of services.
- Auditing the configuration of the network and preparing reports of the findings.
- Preparing Daily, Weekly, Monthly Reports with respect to bandwidth utilization, port utilization, requests provisioned, network statistics and any other reports related to Omantel network.
- Monitoring TX Alarms on Monitoring systems and report generation from Report Sever.
- Creating TT’s, WO, C.R’s using available ticketing systems.
Job Requirements
- E2E Optical Network Operation & Maintenance skills
- More than 5 Years experience as L2 engineer in transmission and optical network
