As International SOS' footprint continues to grow in Saudi Arabia, many new, innovative and exciting projects begin to join their portfolio....one being the development of a "one-of-kind" 150,000 square meter hospitality and adventure park which will be situated on a sustainable oil platform in the middle of the sea!
The project site extends over an area of 4.5k square kilometers and is located 40 km east from the eastern coastline of Saudi Arabia - near to Dammam and Jubail.
Therefore, opportunities have arisen for experienced Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Managers/Consultants to join this project and work alongside International SOS' client in the development of this unique construction.
Roles & Responsibilities (full job description will be provided on application):
The role holder will be the primary gatekeeper for all HSE matters pertaining to client requirements, acting in this respect to inform, guide and protect the company, its employees and other relevant stakeholders in the course of exercising plans and day to day activities. Specifically, the role holder will be responsible for ensuring that the Client has in place necessary and robust health, safety and environmental policies, systems and controls to discharge its legislative and regulatory duties, including its duty of care as an employer. The role holder will also advise the Client Project Management team, management team and employees of their specific HSE duties, and will provide guidance on, monitor, and report on compliancy accordingly.
Qualifications and Experience:
General Professional Requirements:
Strong background as an HSE professional in relevant industries Will have held senior positions in major contractor organisations and/or operators and/or the Regulator Will have led HSE teams working across multiple functions Will have had in-depth involvement in various field development and operational arenas and in applying both process and occupational health and safety principles in each. Demonstrable international and KSA regulatory knowledge Experienced in dealing with joint venture partnerships, both as an operator and non-operator.
Required Professional Qualifications and Registrations:
Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Health and Safety/Environment Management from a reputed International University with more than 15 years of demonstrable experience in HS&E regulations and requirements of projects in different sections such as offshore, construction, engineering etc (Oil & Gas highly desirable) Minimum Graduate Membership of an internationally recognised Safety Association such as NEBOSH, CSP, etc Hold valid professional registrations as applicable
