Job Description
- Mainly to make lifting operations & lifting equipment work in accordance with relevant standards & legislations.
- Carry out lifting plans & studies for all types (Routine / Non-Routine).
- Review subcontractors working under EDECS supervision lifting plans & method statement
- Supervision of Critical & heavy lifting activities ..
- Carry out periodic in-service inspections for all lifting equipment & gears (Pre-use/monthly/quarter) for all projects.
- Coordinate the thorough examination carried out by a trusted & efficient 3rd party.
- Follow up the maintenance of lifting equipment to ensure that the equipment is safe and free of defects .
- Ensure the safe use and operation of lifting equipment & accessories as per relevant standards.
- Conduct training & raise awareness of lifting operations & equipment for operators, riggers, HSE team and any other personnel involved in lifting activities.
- Technical evaluation of quotations & setting technical specs. For purchase orders regarding lifting equipment.
- Assessment of weather conditions, ground conditions & other environmental factors affecting the lifting activities.
- Conduct VOC & entry tests and evaluation for lifting personnel.
Job Requirements
- BSc. Engineering Degree is a must.
- 3+ years in lifting
- Previous experience in lifting planning and inspections
- Certified lifting inspector from LEEA
