Job overview:
- The Sr. DevOps Engineer will play a role with global coverage - Asia, EMEA and US; in enabling ASPENCORE teams/users with new technologies and operations excellence, binds SW development, products, and cloud operations together to provide end-to-end optimization.
- Will focus on Cloud environments administration, DevOps automation and CI/CD development, source code operations among various staging environments internally and externally, maintain web services configuration, services monitoring, analytics, and provide/study/evaluate new technologies and solutions in best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Interface between software/web engineering as well as product management and quality teams to understand code changes, assess risk and impact and enhance technical operations and activities.
- Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cyber-security threats and the organization's compliance policies.
- Work on technical issues analysis and troubleshooting, problem-solving, communicating, and documenting procedures, and recommending changes if necessary.
- Ensure proper monitoring implementation, provide an adequate response to alerts, and provide solutions to ensure 100% sites up time.
- Evaluate new tools, technologies, and processes to improve speed, efficiency, and scalability, and continuous integration environments.
- Analyze projects and infrastructure to maintain cost optimization.
Job Requirements
Technical requirements:
- Proven track in cloud computing and services best practices solutions, AWS, Azure, or both.
- Strong knowledge in webservers - Apache, NGNIX and IIS – configurations and operations for performance tuning, fault tolerance, caching, security, etc.
- Good knowledge in Linux administration and bash/shell scripting.
- Experience and understanding of best practices regarding systems security measures.
- Experience in CI/CD tools and concept, Git workflows and Jenkins.
- Experience in Elastic Search is a plus.
- Experience with containerization technologies, Docker is a huge plus.
- Experience in programming languages e.g. Python, ReactJS, or PHP is a huge plus.
- Experience with CDN and caching concepts, Akamai services is a huge plus.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer sciences or equivalent experience required.
- 5+ years of overall experience in professional software engineering or IT operations.
- At least 2+ years of hands-on experience as DevOps engineer.
- Experience in online media production and marketing web services is plus.
- Strong technical analysis and reporting, communications skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- English Language skills; both spoken and written.
