Job Description
- Manage teams to develop tender documents for the Group and directly ensure all tenders are in accordance with the supply chain policies and procedures.
- Review and approve Requests for Proposal (RFP) prepared by the Tendering team.
- Coordinate with the technical departments to handle bidders’ technical queries and correspondence.
- Oversee and ensure the collection and analyses of proposals from different vendors and ensure that the bid process is fair, transparent, and impartial.
- Study proposals received and prepare a bid comparison summary.
- Recommend final awarding to the Tendering Committee.
- Manage, direct and monitor the overall performance of the tendering team to obtain maximum efficiency, quality, service, and profitability for the Group.
- Ensure effective liaison between the tendering department and the other procurement departments (contract management, purchasing) as well as the rest of the organization.
- Periodically prepare reports highlighting the status of the ongoing tenders and all other aspects related to tenders (risk factors, bid decisions, all issues and concerns related to tenders).
- Define and implement comprehensive strategies for all aspects of the company’s global supply chain to reduce costs, mitigate risk, improve quality, shorten lead times and reduce inventories
- Contribute in providing data for business plan preparation.
- Contribute in providing data for yearly, quarterly, budget preparation.
- Provide a necessary explanation for actual versus budget variances.
Job Requirements
Education & Experience
- A minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Business or relevant degree
- Minimum from 8 to 10 years of experience in procurement/supply chain
