The Position 

As a General Manager with Intrepid, your focus will be to provide leadership and business management to our Egypt Sales teams to implement strategic plans, manage the day-to-day business of the company, and deliver strong performance, and achievement of company targets.   You’ll be the driving force in increasing regional sales and business development through a multi-distribution and brand strategy, including expanding external partnerships as well as direct sales.  

 

In addition to this as a GM, you will continue to develop new business and drive sales growth, promote business profitability, deliver exceptional products to our partners, and develop a high-performing team, all while working towards Intrepid’s purpose beyond profit ethos. 

 

You’ll be responsible for:  

  -  Contributing to global strategy and policy development 

  -  Annual business performance and achieving specified targets set in annual Company Goals (such as Revenue, Customer Enjoyment, Staff Engagement, Business Process Improvement, Sustainability) 

  -  Profit Management and sales growth, actively pursuing business development opportunities and negotiation of contracts with business partners 

  -  Protecting, developing, and growing Intrepid brands throughout Egypt 

  -  People performance, engagement, and developing of strong internal and external relationships 

 

You’ll have strong negotiation skills and have perfected the art of presentation and influence, and with that, you’ll bring your demonstrated leadership and people management skills to ensure a strong teamwork culture is fostered.  But lastly, you’ll ensure every day you approach work by sharing in Intrepid’s core values of integrity, innovation, fun, passion, growth, and responsibility.

This is a full-time permanent position based in Cairo, Egypt, we believe vaccines play a critical role in the safe return of travel. To ensure our workplaces are safe, we require proof of Covid-19 vaccination when you work from an Intrepid office, attend company events or travel on trips. For those who can’t provide proof of vaccination or a medical exemption, we may offer the option for remote work.

Job Requirements

Some of the essentials you’ll have are: 

  -  Senior management experience in sales or marketing is desirable 

  -  Experience within the travel industry or broad personal travel experience  

  -  Demonstrable experience in expanding sales in multiple markets and expanding distribution 

  -  Sound business management experience, financially and commercially astute 

  -  Commercial creativity to identify new approaches to stimulate growth 

  -  Effective resource & change management to maximise productivity and profitability
