Job Description

To manage the operation activities, we need our fleet to be always ready on time with the optimum cost , best service and meeting safety standards.
- Schedule, route, maintain, and track transport vehicles.
- Capacity planning for daily plan and peaks.
- Lead & engage in process improvement.
- Develop a strategy for decreasing vehicle cost, and create the most efficient routes
- Create loading plan on daily basis and ensure proper communication to stakeholder and lead dispatch.
- Create reports of driver productivity & routes effectiveness.
- Ensure fleet availability to meet all requests by scheduling, forecasting and surveying current user trends.
- Ensure vehicle registration, insurance formalities and documentation beside ensure induction of new vehicles in existing fleet.
- Develop and implement standard operational standards to maintain vehicles by advocating best practices in industry.
- Provide direction to department staff to regulate budget cycle requirements and control budgeting process.
- Plan, execute and monitor annual, monthly and daily budget, expenditures and analyze all financial objectives.
- Monitoring the fleet of vehicles & transporters ensuring on time delivery.
- Coordinating with the stations on daily basis
- Ensure Safety vehicle awareness for the full fleet.
- Conduct random inspections of vehicles within the fleet on daily basis.
- Manage and control distribution geographical points to ensure execute planned schedules.
- Lead corrective actions and capacity building to manage the entire fleet to achieve company objectives.
- Assisting in the recruitment of quality drivers into the fleet.
- Managing drivers so they adhere to strict schedules.
- Monitoring driver behavior and ensuring a high level of customer service.
- Performance evaluation and ensure drumbeat adherence for our 3PLs
- Develop and lead cost saving projects for fleet including and not limited to improvements on route, overtime, extra KM, & Supply chain design
Job Requirements
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor Degree required, preferably in supply chain management or logistics.
- 2-5 years proven experience in logistics, fleet , route planning and warehousing.
- Experience in operations management
- Analytical skills, with advanced excel skills.
- Problem solving skills
- Solid Finance background on budget and cost saving.
- Flexible working hours including early mornings, late evenings and/or weekends
