Job Purpose
The Senior Project Manager will manage the planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing of projects. S/he will be accountable for the entire project scope, project team, resources, and the success of their assigned projects. Should act as the go-to person for everything involving a project’s organization, budget, and timeline
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within the scope and within budget.
- Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders, and ensuring technical feasibility.
- Conduct stakeholder analysis, define and manage client expectations both stated and unstated.
- Develop detailed project plans to track progress.
- Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Drive process improvements and standardize/create scalable processes leveraging technology.
- Manage single and multiple projects, in varying stages of the development lifecycle.
- Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders.
- Report and escalate to management as needed.
- Manage contracts with third parties/vendors.
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks
- Act as a client advocate within the organization to ensure the client’s business objectives are met.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science from a well-known university with a grade of very good at least
- Solid technical background, with hands-on experience in managing complex software development projects
- Professional project management certification, PMP is a must
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in delivering software development projects.
- 5+ years of experience in managing complex projects.
- Proven experience in various software development lifecycle models and methodologies.
- Excellent skills in handling clients
- Excellent command of the English language
