Job Description
We are currently seeking a Cloud Services Engineer focused on the Microsoft Azure/M365 stack. Microsoft Cloud Specialist will be responsible for any technical duties with cloud computing including design, planning, management, maintenance, and support of Microsoft Azure, Wintel and other cloud platforms.
Role And Responsibilities:
- Provide subject matter expertise to diagnose and remedy issues that are escalated by clients, project stakeholders and/or other members of the service delivery team
- Assist Service delivery teams with any system issues and alerts
- Act as an escalation point for all Microsoft technology issues as required
- Maintain an agile mindset with a constant focus on delivering the right solutions for our clients
- Assist with defining project scope and designing workflow solutions
- Spearhead research & development (R&D) initiatives with a focus on improving IT Design and Build standards
- Provide feedback for the future of the technology practice (evaluating vendors, products, solutions, etc.)
- Assist the Sales team with developing Statements of Work and proposals, including solution overview, consulting estimates, hardware requirements, software/license requirements
- Participate in client meetings to assist with designing and scoping solutions
Job Requirements
- Have significant demonstrated success in client-facing situations
- Have an advanced understanding of implementing and supporting Microsoft cloud services, including any of the following:
- Azure Core Platform (Compute, Storage, Networking)
- Azure Services
- Azure AD
- Azure Automation and CLI
- Microsoft 365
- Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager (strong skills required)
- Microsoft Sentinel
- Have a strong understanding of more “traditional” Microsoft products, such as Windows Server, Windows, IIS, SQL Server, etc.
- Have experience with automation and PowerShell scripting
- Have demonstrated experience executing technical tasks in projects of varying complexity
- Have experience working with a Managed Services Provider or IT services consulting firm
- Certifications within the Microsoft stack are a plus, but primarily as an avenue to grow our Microsoft partnership and not as a replacement for technical skills
- Exposure to AWS, GCP, and other cloud services is valuable
