Introduction
The Youth Participation and Employment (YPE) program addresses the crucial challenges of youth economic exclusion and lack of civic inclusion of youth. Funded by the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), YPE is part of MFA’s ‘Danish-Arab Partnership Programme’ (DAPP).

To obtain a more diversified and complete overview of formal and informal youth-led groups, organisations, platforms and initiatives relating to economic participation of youth in the MENA region, the YPE program is embarking on a youth mapping research, as set out in the Terms of Reference. To lead the mapping process, and coordinate and consolidate the research processes in the four countries involved (Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, and Tunisia), we are now looking for a Youth Research Coordinator for the period November 2020 – March 2021.
Purpose and objectives
The purpose of the Youth Research Coordinator consultancy position is to lead and coordinate the implementation of the Youth Mapping, in order to ensure that the process runs smoothly and reaches its objectives. In particular, the objectives of the position are to:

Mapping of regional youth groups and actors operating beyond borders: Investigation into regional youth groups and actors operating beyond borders.
Consolidate the findings: in consultation with country research teams synthesise and make sense of the research findings, to arrive at one overall synthesis report including overall findings, conclusions and recommendations from across the four countries and regionally.

  • Suggest methodologies to incorporate this in the research.
  • Coordinate or carry out the implementation of this methodology.
