Job brief

We are looking for an experienced supply chain manager to lead our supply chain and logistics operations function efficiently. In this role, you will collaborate with other departments, such as Operations and Finance, to create effective business plans, sourcing strategy, control & monitor the delivery and storage solutions. Teamworking skills are critical for this role. You should also have project management experience, as well as excellent leadership and communication capabilities to fulfill the job duties.

Responsibilities

  • Create the company’s supply chain strategy and framework
  • Analyze the supply chain process  identify gaps & bottlenecks 
  • Develop applicable improvement plans to bridge any process gaps
  • Build a strong inventory and warehousing system to maintain safety/buffer stocks at hand while reducing/eliminating slow-moving stocks.
  • Communicate and negotiate with the existing and new vendors to sustain a steady feedstock at the best rates.
  • Qualify new vendors to expand the company’s sourcing database.
  • Monitor all logistical operations to ensure smooth on-time deliveries are made.
  • Train and guide the supply chain on their day to day tasks and deliverables and resolve any issues that might come up 
  • Create cost-effective solutions to manage the supply chain processes and achieve savings
  • Develop, implement and monitor health & safety guidelines in all Supply chain processes (e.g. use of trucks, forklifts)
  • Ensure the adopted supply chain processes are aligned with the country’s legal requirements, industry standards as well as the company’s policies & procedures 
  • Track and report on KPIs status to management
  • Collaborate with other departments to develop & identify shared business growth opportunities

Job Requirements

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a supply chain manager or in the industrial technology field
  • Solid knowledge of supply chain processes 
  • Working experience of relevant software modules (e.g. SAP MM)
  • Strong communication & team management skills
  • Supplier management and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Leadership and motivational skills
  • Attention to details
  • Growth mindset & creative problem-solving skills
  • A strategic vision and an analytical approach to processing information A Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or similar.
