Job Description
- Manage, troubleshoot and administer Xceed databases across all environments and applications to ensure readily available systems and minimum system downtime.
- Administrate Xceed backend servers.
- Monitor the access of the data center to ensure compliance with organization policies.
- Manage and troubleshoot servers in Oracle, storage Technology and VMware.
- Provide on-going first level technical support to all departments and ensure minimum disruption in work.
- Implement hardware and software configurations
- Monitor, compile and prepare reports on production systems to identify any potential issues and take necessary corrective actions.
- Monitor ticketing system and resolving trouble tickets
- Analyse and recommend on improvements of current database administration processes and procedures (storage, servers, etc.)
- Coach and develop junior team members to achieve the highest level of performance.
- Support the Data Management operation supervisor in business continuity & relevant operations matters.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or related field.
- 3-5 Years of experience in Oracle EBS database administration tasks and SQL Server.
- Experience in windows servers
- Experience in administration of VMWARE
- Experience in administration of LINUX
- Experience in administration of Storage systems
- Experience in administration of backup systems
- Experience in administration of SAN switches
- Certified Oracle database administrator
- Familiarity with LINUX and VMWARE is preferable.
- Experienced with network configuration.
- Good Understanding of disaster recovery planning.
- Knowledge of client / server applications development practices.
- Programming skills.
- Languages: good English (Oral/Written) to cope with training programs or sessions.
