Job Description
- Working alongside packhouse employees to supervise and motivate.
- Completing daily reports relating to production, performance and food safety.
- Learning and enforcing all product specs and food safety protocols in the packhouse.
- Ensuring strict adherence to all food safety protocols on a daily basis for cleaning production lines.
- Assist with completions of all forms (disciplinary action, incident forms etc.).
- Report any employee problems to the Packhouse Manager.
- Report any mechanical issues on a daily basis to the Packhouse Manager.
- Learn and understand routine maintenance on the advanced production lines to minimize setup and down time.
- Make labels as needed and instructed by the Packhouse Manager.
- Conduct quality and traceability audits on completed production items.
- Be in contact with shipping/receiving administrator concerning packaging inventory, daily packaging requirements and supplies.
- Communication with shipping/receiving administrator concerning outbound product (packaging or quality issues).
- Supervise the packhouse independently in the absence of the packhouse manager.
- Investigate problems and settle disputes to maintain harmony among workers.
- Read inventory records, customer orders, or shipping schedules to determine required activities.
- Requisition or purchase supplies, such as machine parts or tools.
- Estimate labor requirements for jobs and plan work schedules accordingly.
- Direct or assist with the adjustment or repair of farm equipment or machinery.
- Train and supervise workers in techniques such as the pack operations and the use of safety measures.
- Observe workers to detect inefficient or unsafe work procedures or to identify problems, initiating corrective action as necessary.
- Review employees' work to evaluate quality and quantity.
- Plan or supervise collection or maintenance functions.
Job Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of Experience in the Same Position
- Self-motivated and positive attitude.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must follow all company policies and procedures.
- Computer Skills (Microsoft Office) - (Excel is a benefit).
- Follow all Food Safety & Health & Safety policies.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with everyone in a respectful manner.
