Job Description

  • Supervises the fault identification and analysis to facilitate downtime recovery of the day-to-day operations while working with the internal and external engineers (hydraulic) and maintenance staff.
  • Manages & supervise engineers & technicians through the implementation of Mechanical units & installations (ensuring proactive maintenance practices) to improve operational reliability, safety, and serviceability of hydraulic equipment & solar cells.
  • Manages the troubleshooting efforts of hydraulic & pneumatic circles in all underground mechanical units while installation & after that in maintenance period to ensure that the whole operation runs smoothly & error free.
  • providing detailed analysis of failures & trouble shooting (root cause analysis) and how to prevent from recurrence to improve overall installation operations.
  • Provides installation and maintenance support for all engineers & technicians staff Effectively communicate on all technical issues related to hydraulic equipment and recommend change proposals. Manage the implementation of proposed changes in accordance with engineering procedures.
  • Supports design modification of installation & maintenance of hydraulic system equipment for projects assigned from Technical Services Management or Engineering Management.
  • Monitor efficient working of all mechanical and hydraulic equipment, making required adjustments and providing field support to maintenance technicians.
  • Manage, supervise & oversee construction projects from beginning to end in all stages of installation, execution & maintenance.
  • Manage the budget and estimated costs.
  • Determine the necessary equipment, materials, and manpower needed.
  • Keep track of inventory, tools and equipment.
  • Ensure supplies and equipment are ordered and delivered according to schedule.
  • Prepare reports regarding job status.
  • Resolve any problems that may arise through preventive actions & reports.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes
  • Train and mentor construction engineers, technicians & workers also construction laborers depending on the size of the project
  • Collaborate with subcontractors, engineers, surveyors, architects and key team members of the project team
  • Negotiate with external suppliers, vendors & contractors on contract agreements
  • Obtain the necessary & appropriate permits and licenses from authorities for construction sites
  • Plan construction operations.
  • Ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Hire contractors and staff including construction laborers
  • Delegate responsibilities
  • Allocate and manage resources to ensure that they are available when they are needed throughout the construction projects
  • Keep all stakeholders aware of the progress on projects and prepare progress reports regularly
  • Handle any environmental or local community issues that may come up during a project
  • Conduct site checks to monitor progress and quality standards

Job Requirements

  • BSc in Mechanical engineering – power, Construction building science or relevant field. 
  • Wide range & diversified experience of operating mechanical projects in terms of installation, execution & maintenance.
  • Awareness of mechanical unit's execution & implementation till 3-ton weight.
  • Awareness of the hydraulic & pneumatic circles & how it operates. 
  • Proven experience in operating & maintenance of heavy trucks with weight reaches or exceed 35 tons. 
  • Awareness of & Familiar with excavation and back-filling works on site using the related equipment.
  • Experience in dealing with client and preparing and follow up on the abstracts, make financial claims, and monitor collection.
  • Experience in manage people & staff performance whether engineers, technicians or drivers.
  • Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
  • Good knowledge of MS Office.
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • A team player with leadership abilities
  • PMP, MBA or equivalent certification will be an advantage.
