Job Description
PURPOSE, SCOPE AND IMPACT
- Supply Chain Officer / Planner ensures that requests are handled efficiently and effectively to meet the needs of the Delegation. S/he makes information about potential or firm orders available to other logistics staff and those requesting services. S/he ensures that sourcing of goods is done to meet demand in the most efficient way
- Is in charge of order management and supply chain planning
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Order management
- Analyzes and treats requests in a timely manner
- Monitor the status of Sales Requests (SR) and follow up if they are pending
- Records and files all documentation pertaining to the process of the order, registers and transmits customer’s claims and remarks
- Updates the logistics dashboards and provides required statistics to stakeholders, customers, and logisticians
- Builds awareness related to the importance of Good Planning & Forecasting (in collaboration with the Forecaster)
- Insures communication flow, mainly with: Customers – Purchaser – Forecaster – Warehouse
Supply Chain Planning
- Defines and updates item settings through coordination with the Regional Planner in the region
- Proposes and monitors the buffer stock (based on analysis of trends and patterns of items)
- Supports the Regional Planner in reviewing, analyzing and processing detailed MRP msgs
- Decides on the most suitable supply option to optimize the supply chain flow
- Builds awareness of costs related to the Stock Management Policy
Job Requirements
Certifications / Education required
- Technical degree in logistics, administration or equivalent
- Good command of spoken and written English and Arabic
- Computer literacy; good knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of enterprise resource planning systems an asset (JDE, SAP, etc.)
