Job Description

Objective:

To assist the restaurant manager on his/her assigned shift, to control and operate the restaurant to maximize sales and profitability while maintaining the highest possible standards of cleanliness, product quality and services to the customers in a pleasant surroundings.

Nature and Scope:

This position, along with other Assistant Managers, reports to the Restaurant Managers. Reporting to the Assistant Manager are Staff Members, Service Experts and Shift Supervisors, all part of Staff Ladder position.

The Assistant Manager is expected to operate under the direction of the Senior Assistant Manager. He/She is also expected to work well under pressure and within a heavy workload in a variety of schedules to include nights, weekends and holidays.

Good written, verbal and interpersonal skills, as well as a command of the English Language are required.

He is expected to have completed the following Certification Program: B.M.T.

The B.M.T. (Basic Management Training) includes the following:

  • Food Safety
  • Crew Training

Principal Account abilities:

  • Assist restaurant manager in ensuring that security systems relating to cash, stock assets are effectively implemented and maintained.
  • Completing orders as and when required.
  • Accept deliveries as and when required ensuring the correct procedure is adhered to.
  • Carry out loss control evaluation.
  • Update the stock level chart by accurately calculating the level according to sales data of the restaurant. To be posted and followed as part of day-to-day operation.
  • Training and re-training staff on a regular basis and ensuring that it is recorded in the correct manner.
  • Conduct crew meetings.
  • Hiring decision on staff members on B.M.T. completion.
  • Makes decisions during assigned shifts (related to restaurant operation) that are within established operating policy.
