Job Description
- The Regional Sales Manager Responsibilities:
- Direct/manage the sales efforts of distributors/agents operating within the assigned territory.
- Prospect for new business, conduct sales calls, and actively grow the territory. Initiate and follow up on sample and technical requests and communicate the results.
- Focus on customer retention and improving overall customer satisfaction.
- Manage territory sales planning, forecasting, development, and performance of the sales territory; identify and supporting technical and operational resources necessary to achieve objectives.
- Review, negotiate, implement, and manage pricing and contracts for direct, indirect, and distribution accounts.
- Maintain sales pipeline for all core sales objectives and strategic sales initiatives of 1 x annual sales targets.
- Conduct quarterly Mutual Business Plan review meetings with distributors and key customers in the region and develop a mutual plan for executing against all upcoming quarterly sales and business objectives.
- Coordinate and collaborate with sales, technical peers, distributors and service personnel to insure company objectives and customer concerns are cared for.
- Work as a team player with lab team and communicate frequently with Technical head.
- Routinely communicate with sales, logistics, customer service, R & D and challenges to peers, technical, superiors, and business partners
- Monitor actual sales objectives vs. goals. Continuously create and implement change plans to meet sales goals or sustain above-target performance.
- Submit visit report on time, sale reports and other reports as required.
- Know and learn about your competition both regionally and internationally.
- Assist Marketing by providing voice of customer and competitive market information.
- Represent the company at trade shows, conferences and customer events.
- Contribute to product development by capturing customer needs and defining the competitive landscape.
- Other general management
- Responsible for the Territory like Middle East/Africa /North Africa/West Africa/Saudi Arabia/Other GCC
Job Requirements
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Bachelor of Science or related field
- 7+ years in an International sales (direct and/or distributor)
- Prior experience demonstrating proficiency in making technical presentations
- Prior experience achieving all sales goals and expectations
- Prior experience demonstrating proficiency in establishing relationships and growing sales in a new or underdeveloped territory
- Prior experience demonstrating proficiency in influencing others to promote and sell company products, programs, or solutions
- Prior experience demonstrating proficiency in Core Sales Competencies and Core Leadership Competencies
- Must be able to travel at least 50% of available time for business related activities
- Good communication skills, written and verbal. English speaking is must.
- French language would be an asset
