Job Description
New Collection
- Coordinate new collection with the fashion designer to make practical compromises.
- Coordinate with Fashion Designer the needed (Colors, Styles, and fabrics).
Draft and Measurements
- Draft Technical (Flat) Drawings with the Editing Programs.
- Define the style (cut, cut measurement, fabrics, and Stitches).
- Draft initial sketches for approval.
- Create a technical sheet.
- Create a size chart for the new collection.
Supplier’s Manufacture
- Coordinate with vendors and manufacturers to produce samples of the requested design.
- Analyze the sample measurement through fitting, and check if there are any defects.
- Oversees the fitting of the samples, and starts setting up the items on their size schedule.
- Review all product samples and comment on the (Color, Fabrics, Stitching), and any requested printings
- Inspect final product for quality.
Job Requirements
- Associate’s degree in fashion, technical design, or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Faculty Of Applied Arts is preferable.
- Practical experience with software programs like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, clue 3D and CAD.
- Knowledge and experience with patternmaking.
- The ability to justify design &measurement changes.
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
