Job Description
Main Job Duties:
- Design and develop signal processing algorithms for deriving medical parameters from raw sensor data
- Design and develop data analytics tools for building insights from clinical and internal testing data
- Translate system requirements to design specifications in collaboration with internal and external design and development teams
- Searching for suitable algorithm for the assigned problem in reputable papers, patents and articles which complies with customer/marketing/standards requirements
- Compare found algorithms and choose the most suitable one according to processing time, complexity and result accuracy
- Design document includes all the information about the chosen algorithm supported with
- Causes of choosing the algorithm,
- Algorithms flow chart
- Graphs of the results of the selected algorithm and details about excluding other algorithms
Algorithm risk analysis document
- Implement chosen algorithm using Matlab with taking into account the limitation of implementation in real time applications if applicable
- Communicate technical issues with research team leader during project/product study in the initial phase.
- Testing design and execution of the implemented algorithm.
- Manage and document test results for required certifications.
Job Requirements
- Very strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals (preferred M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or Mathematics).
- Demonstrated background of feature/capability software implementations that require strong DSP
- Experience in a lab environment including use of signal generators (e.g., filters, splitters, attenuators).
- Ability to evaluate technical trade-offs and to conduct an analysis of alternatives.
- Working knowledge of a variety of programming languages (MATLAB, C/C++, etc)
- Work experience in fast-paced / start-up like environments.
- Working under medical device design controls and Quality management systems.
- Experience developing clinical requirements for medical products.
- Experience with medical device standards.
