Job Description

  • Provide direction and support to the department to manage allocation of resources, complete any requirements to meet business expectations, Service Level Agreement performance and other responsibilities thereby enabling achievement of day-to-day as well as strategic objectives.
  • Ensure Smooth Transition of work from client into IBM and operational delivery with respect to contract
  • Manage Processes Teams for the client and drive improvements and delivery to our commercial clients
  • Ensure processes are designed to be efficient, meet control needs and drive continuous improvement activities. Ensure that processes work towards execution of essential functional objectives of the department and the business partners.
  • Ensure Operational efficiency by supervising KPI delivery monthly to achieve the overall annual KPIs in collaboration with both inter-function and business partners in the Business units. Continuously monitor performance against objectives to ensure that identified Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are achieved.
  • Develop a mechanism for effective compliance of Shared Services management framework, including appropriate policies, processes and procedure with a continuous education of different stakeholders on the same.
  • Responsible for timely and accurate standalone entity reporting, Client Consolidation, statutory Group and standalone Financial.
  • Work with senior management to maintain high levels of service quality and efficiency in all assigned areas.
  • Oversee key processes related to R2R including compliance with all statutory financial reporting, audits, legal, taxation and Internal control requirements, including regulatory compliance for setting up business in new territories. Be an integral part of the risk management and fraud prevention directive.
  • Communicate potential issues/risks in the control environment and in financial reporting. Notify and report to senior management concerning any trends that are critical to the Client and IBM
  • Develop, delegate, execute and communicate projects/initiatives to the team
  • Act as liaison between the IBM and other stockholders

Job Requirements

Minimum experience

  • 10 – 15 years’ experience in finance function.
  • Experience in Outsourcing model for Finance or Captive, centralized model, teams within same company
  • Strong accounting system background
  • In depth knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Exposure of implementing ERP and other software
  • Lead Process Delivery and improvement across several teams.

Minimum Qualifications/education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance
  • Member of a professional accounting body (ACCA/CA/CPA)
