- Markaz supports local artisans across Egypt, blending diverse craft traditions into unique handmade products that celebrate cultural identity and social impact.
- Provides the customer with the brand journey and story during the sales process.
- Acquire, cultivate and maintain relationships with our clients through deep product knowledge, personal engagement and luxury service.
- Ensure high levels of customer’s satisfaction through excellent service.
- Assist customers with product information and sales transactions/payments (in store and online through WhatsApp, website or social media channels).
- Cross-sell and up-sell products to maximize purchase value.
- Deal with all issues that arise from customers & Meet sales goals.
- Complete store administration including inventory, receiving and labeling products and product transfer between branches.
- Maintain outstanding and updated store inventory and warehouse condition according to set system.
- Assist team in creating written inventory and sales training manual.
- Maintain visual displays of products.
- Report on buying trends and customer needs and prepare sales reports as needed. Report on store traffic and maintain updated customer database.
- Propose innovative ideas to increase store traffic.
- Report on store required maintenance.
- Direct and supervise showroom support staff.
- Additional duties as may be needed
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor degree is required.
- Language: Proficiency in English is needed.
- Location: Assigned Boutique – subject to rotation in both outlets.
- Experience: 3-5 years retail sales experience, experience in handcrafts preferred.
- Strong proficiency in computer skills.
- Experience with ERP system preferred
- Flexibility to work shifts, non-traditional hours, including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
- Highly developed interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and react with flexibility.
- Very strong organizational skills with a focus on follow through.
- Have a flair for communicating with different types of customers.
- Work as a collaborative team member, always available to assist boutique manager, colleagues, customers, etc.
- Ability to project an approachable and professional image in personal appearance, manner, and demeanor.
