Job Description
- Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently to outpatients, ensuring compliance with all legal and hospital regulations.
- Provide expert medication counseling and education to patients regarding proper usage, potential side effects, and drug interactions.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient medication therapy and outcomes.
- Review and verify physician orders for appropriateness, dosage, and potential drug interactions or contraindications.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medication histories and allergy information.
- Monitor inventory levels, manage stock, and ensure the availability of essential medications in the outpatient pharmacy.
- Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives within the pharmacy department.
- Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and confidentiality protocols in all pharmacy operations.
- Assist in the training and orientation of new pharmacy staff and interns as needed.
- Stay current with advancements in pharmaceutical science, hospital policies, and relevant regulations.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy.
- Valid pharmacist license to practice in Egypt.
- 0-2 years of experience as a pharmacist, preferably in a hospital or outpatient setting.
- Excellent knowledge of pharmaceutical products, drug interactions, and prescription processing.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in medication dispensing.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for patient counseling and team collaboration.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume outpatient environment.
- Proficiency in pharmacy management systems and basic computer applications.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety, privacy, and quality care.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or shifts as required.
