Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  1.    Quantity Take-Offs & Measurement

  • Perform comprehensive and highly accurate material take-offs (MTO) for all electrical systems (including lighting, power distribution, switchgear, generators, cables, conduits, containment systems, earthing, lightning protection, and ELV/low-current systems) from tender drawings, single line diagrams (SLDs), schematic layouts, and specifications.

  • Utilize digital measurement software (such as PlanSwift or CostX or specialized electrical take-off tools) to generate clear, verifiable quantification sheets.

  • Cross-check electrical, single-line, and riser drawings against the provided Bill of Quantities (BOQ) to identify discrepancies, omissions, design gaps, or volume variances.

  • Prepare clear floating RFQ packages containing relevant electrical specifications, datasheets, and drawings to send to specialized sub-contractors, system integrators, and equipment suppliers (e.g., switchgear, transformer, generator, and ELV manufacturers).

  • Draft detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs) in accordance with standard methods of measurement.

  1.    Pricing Support & Rate Analysis

  • Gather updated market prices for standard electrical equipment, cables, conduits, and accessories, maintaining an internal database of current vendor and manufacturer rates.

  1.   Tender Administration

  • Assist the tendering team in assembling the final technical and commercial tender submittal dossiers, ensuring all electrical clarifications, compliance sheets, and supplier quotes are accurately incorporated.

Job Requirements

  • 5 to 7 years experience .

  • Immediate joining preferred .

  • Advanced MS Excel proficiency (complex formulas, lookups, data validation, and pivot tables) and a solid working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, (for automated quantity extraction from BIM models).

  • Deep understanding of electrical engineering details, standard wiring methods, power distribution systems, low-voltage (LV) and medium-voltage (MV) equipment, and specialized ELV systems (CCTV, fire alarm, telecom, etc.).

  • Familiarity with standard international and regional methods of measurement, estimation guidelines, and local utility/civil defense regulations.

  • High level of mathematical accuracy and exceptional attention to detail in interpreting complex schematic drawings.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to consistently meet strict, fast-paced tender deadlines simultaneously.

  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills for effective coordination with colleagues, sub-contractors, and equipment manufacturers.
