Job Description
The Duty Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations during their assigned shifts, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery. This role acts as the main point of contact for staff and customers in the absence of senior management and plays a key role in maintaining operational standards and handling emergencies.
- Supervise daily operations and ensure all departments function effectively during the shift.
- Act as the primary contact for guest or client inquiries, concerns, or complaints.
- Resolve operational issues promptly and escalate major incidents to senior management.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by monitoring service quality and employee performance.
- Prepare detailed shift reports documenting incidents, guest feedback, and actions taken.
- Coordinate between departments to ensure smooth communication and teamwork.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Oversee emergency procedures, including fire evacuations, medical emergencies, and security incidents.
- Support and motivate staff during the shift, providing guidance and performance feedback.
- Handle unexpected staffing or resource shortages by reallocating tasks as needed.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role, preferably in developer, malls, hotels.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations is an advantage.
