Job Description

Our Global Software Client is looking for a Business Development Manager focusing on new Customer Acquisition in Egypt. The right candidate will have a strong sales background in IT/Software business, to boost new sales revenues and build long term relationships with strategic clients and partners in Egypt. You will have a solid network in Public Sector and other major industries. 

You will enjoy working in small team who are based in Dubai and Europe. 

Job Description:

  • Drive direct-sales and also partner new business opportunities from start to closure, and establish strong, long-lasting relationships which will yield on-going successes across the accounts.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies with the goal of meeting assigned sales quotas. This includes a “Hands- on” development of new sales opportunities through networking events, calls, lead follow up, and partner, channel and personal relationships as well as identifying decision makers and other stakeholders at customers’ buying sphere of influence.
  • Analyze the Egyptian market and any local source of potential leads in order to increase and qualify the pipeline of opportunities.
  • Prepare and conduct sales meetings to understand needs, goals and problems of a potential customer to be able to present an attractive solution to fulfill those needs.
  • Participate in identifying opportunities for marketing campaigns, services and distribution channels to accelerate in-flow of qualified leads. Work closely together with marketing and inside sales, to ensure efficient lead qualification and handling.
  • Work with other members of  global sales organization on multi-national sales opportunities
  • Recruit and enable new partners with the support of the Alliance Manager based in UAE and manage continuing relationships with named partners e.g. ensure partners are receiving adequate training,certification, and support.

Job Requirements

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field (Business, Engineering, or equivalent)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in working with enterprise B2B software sales in Egypt, both direct and through channel partners e.g. DXP, Content Management, ERP, CRM, eBusiness and/or eCommerce applications. Experience participating in and selling large software consultation, integration and implementation projects is expected. Demonstrated ability to execute each phase of the sales cycle, from lead generation, to qualification, to needs analysis, to solution development to negotiation and sales closure.
  • Experience in working with and successfully achieving sales quota and other KPIs
  • Customer success and sales oriented.
  • Government selling experience is a PLUS
  • Hands on, high efficiency and proactivity. Execution is a top priority on Liferay's philosophy.
  • Understanding of the industry dynamics present among Egyptian territory as well as, Open Source business and values.
  • Own network of decision makers and other relevant people at leading Egyptian companies
  • Excellent business level English is a must.
  • Ability to travel in Egypt and internationally
