Job Description

  • Regional Manager is the key Business Department employee, who is responsible for a fixed region with 3-4 supervisors and 30-40 loan officers.
  • His job is, within 3-4 months from appoints on the job, to ensure that his work team is fully staffed with good quality SV and LO. If there is not enough people, he needs to hire and train them. If there are weak staff, he need to identify and improve their skills or organize replacement.
  • Within 1 month on the job, RM will ensure that all his staff perform their daily required work volume: 1. customer visits. 2. Disbursements. 3. portfolio growth. 4. portfolio quality.
  • RM is principally responsible for proposing business targets for his area, and after agreed with Business Department – achieving them.
  • RM is 50% key field person, who spends half of his time in the field, and 50% key HO person, who contributes to the HO Business Department work taking lead in projects, workshops, brainstorms, trainings and other activities that Business Department leads.

Main responsibilities and tasks

  • Understand and internalise the scope and responsibilities of the RM.
  • Get to know your team of SV and LO. Identify strengths and gaps.
  • Develop a 3-month staff plan: SV and LO to hire, train/develop or replace. Ensure that full staffing of the area is complete after 3 month.
  • Define targets/KPIs for the team: visits, disbursements, portfolio volume, portfolio quality – both as long-term objectives, i.e. by end-year – and short-term – daily and monthly targets.
  • Ensure daily work with the team to organize and do the required work volumes to ensure reaching targets – by joining teams in the field, initially leading by example and showing how it is done, and training, providing feedback and gradually delegating more and more to independent work of the team.
  • Ensure pipeline of trainees, in order to be able to freely identify and dismiss non-performers.
  • Be the representative of FAWRY corporate culture – open communication, honesty, integrity, support to people who can and want to develop

Job Requirements

  • Former successful field manager with 3-5 years’ experience as regional sales leader for teams of at least 20-30 people.
  • Active and mobile, at least 50% time in the field.
  • Detailed knowledge of the market or capacity to quickly learn, if come from other region.
  • Highly disciplined, self-motivated, focused on the job, excellent staff and interpersonal communication skills, good team player, positive attitude and demeanor.
  • Capacity to learn and constantly improve oneself.
  • Result driven and result-oriented.
