Job Description
CONCEPT ENERGY is currently seeking a moderate experienced Wireline Field Engineer. (so called Electric Line field engineer or field professional). The incumbent under general supervision will be fully competent in all aspects of wireline field engineer’s duties at the well site and at the shop. In the light of Open and Cased hole operations norm, Candidate should be able to comprehensively perform at least but not limited to the following:
- Operating tools, equipment and unit for cased and/or openhole logging operations on well/rig site, operate CH/OH system panels and software, pre-job preparations, system integrity checks, tools calibration, wells site operations including full supervision for rig-up/rig-down, rig and rigless operations, WL fishing, pressure control equipment operations, trouble shooting, basic maintenance and preventative maintenance, post job duties, preparing logs and job reports and supervise wireline crew. Professional Interaction with Customer Representatives on well site and rig/field personnel.
- As a priority, apply HSE company policies in all operations aspects and conduct risk assessments.
- The job primary conduct will be field engineer with rotation schedule to the Oil & Gas field locations, but will involve business development operations in Cairo office as well, this will involve customer office visits and interaction.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering. (Electrical, Mechanical or Petroleum or similar)
- 3 to 6 years of experience as Field engineer in Cased-hole &/or Open-hole operations.
- Technical Knowledge of Wireline Equipment, operations, calibrations principles, wireline depth measuring systems, correlation principles, Cased-hole and/or Open-hole wireline logs, basic interpretation principles, basic petro-physics and geology knowledge, rig up and rig down operations, pressure control equipment, trouble shooting principles, drilling rigs basic operations, WL cables, WL fishing operations and generally the related necessary knowledge, skills and competencies.
- Fluent in English.
- Ability to professionally lead crew and supervise operations.
- Ability to properly communicate and professionally interact with customer representatives.
- Willingness to work in the field, remote locations and for extended hours.
- Preferably to have knowledge and experience in the Egyptian Oil & Gas field locations, on or offshore.
- Ability to work under pressure, availability for frequent travel, good communication skills and teamwork skills.
