Job Description

Job Title: Exchange Program Lead               

Department:  Scholarships & Exchange Program Department                 

Immediate Supervisor: Scholarships & Exchange Program Manager

Location: AMIDEAST Cairo office  

The Program Lead is responsible for coordinating the smooth implementation of the department programs and day-to-day activities.  The Lead develops and monitors program timelines and other related templates to ensure timely delivery of all activities.  S/he coordinates all logistical activity and reports to the Program Manager on any delays.  S/he develops all required reports and works closely with the Project Specialist on selected programs.  The Program Lead also ensures accurate documentation of all department files.  S/he establishes and increases relationships with partners and other AMIDEAST departments and branches.  The Lead may also support several different projects across departments based on business need.

Responsibilities:

  • Support high-quality implementation and monitoring of relevant grants, scholarships exchange programs as per program contracts and AMIDEAST designated scopes of work.
  • Prepare and submits accurate and timely technical, and financial reports to partners, donors, and AMIDEAST HQ.
  • Maintain excellent relationships and prompt communication with all donors and stakeholders and ensures timely response of all email inquiries.
  • Based on business need, coordinates accurate and timely delivery of all documents related to SAT certification from and to CS.

  • Oversee all fee-for service activities (for example, certifications, summer camps, and internships) including budgeting costs, accurate management of all program details, and customer satisfaction.
  • Contribute to the development of new exchange program concept papers and proposals that serve AMIDEAST’s mission, vision, and value for Egypt.
  • Identify and implements approaches to build on AMIDEAST’s current programs to develop institutional capacity and initiate new programs.
  • Contribute to monitoring of budgets for all exchange programs.
  • Maintain collaborative relations and connections with other AMIDEAST departments (English Language, Testing, Customer Service).
  • Maintain excellent relationships and prompt communication with all donors and stakeholders and ensures timely response of all email inquiries. 
  • Actively network and maintain relations with relative HQ staff, other AMIDEAST Cairo and Alexandria department staff and different partners (Donors, educational institutions, NGOs…etc.).
  • Conduct outreach activities including public speaking, media interviews and other opportunities to promote awareness of AMIDEAST programs.
  • Actively networks with local and international organizations and institutions involved in exchange programs and keep abreast of changes and developments in Egyptian public and private education at the highest levels to identify opportunities for AMIDEAST.
  • Follow-up and monitor communication with all partners.
  • Delegate tasks and monitors specialist, assistant, interns and volunteers. 
  • Plan, develop, monitor and adjust (if required) program activities according to goals and specific objectives.
  • Participate in setting, reviewing and implementing department strategies, goals and objectives.
  • Replace the associate manager in his/her absence.

Job Requirements

  • B.A. and five years of related project management experience
  • Excellent in spoken and written English
  • Fluent in Arabic
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrative creativity and initiative
  • Ability to organize and maintain large amount of detailed information
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
  • Ability to work independently and accept responsibility
  • Excellent computer literacy in MS Office

      Preferred:

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree from a U.S. or Canadian university
  • Graduate degree in education, business, or another relevant field
  • Experience administering Egyptian and/or U.S. education and exchange activities
  • Managerial experience
  • Excellent written Arabic
  • Project Management Professional Certification (PMP)
  • TOEIC score of minimum 785 or equivalent.
