Job Description
Managing the smooth execution of translation projects from A to Z, coordinating communication between clients, linguists and other stakeholders daily. When managing projects, he/she considers:
- Client Goals: E.g. Timeline, Quality, Special Instructions, Delivery Methods, etc.
- Company Goals: E.g. HR goals
- Productivity/Efficiency
Day-to-Day Objectives and Activities:
- Receiving and confirming project hand-offs and instructions.
- Constructing project timelines in accordance with the client's requested delivery date.
- Managing and assigning tasks to linguists and other team members, making sure they have all they need to successfully and smoothly perform their tasks.
- Becoming the link between clients and personnel handling their tasks, ensuring the flow of communication as required.
- Documenting project data required by management personnel. (Data such as Project Name, ID, Dates, Volume, etc.)
- Reporting project & productivity data to management personnel.
Working Hours: Part-time (25 Hours weekly)
Job Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in business/commerce, linguistics or any related field. (Students can apply if willing to maintain their productivity throughout the academic year)
- English Fluency is a must (reading and writing mainly).
- Computer skills and confidence.
- An interest in the translation & localization industry.
