Job Description

  • Actively manage NMDC's prequalification and registration processes with clients and 3rd party organizations across all geographical regions.
  • Manage and maintain business development CRM database and interface with tendering department.
  • Responsible to ensure monitoring, analyzing and improving the current NMDC's business development process, through research, analysis and interpreting data and make recommendations based on the findings of new business initiatives.
  • Responsible for identifying and tracking relevant trade and networking events and preparing event budgets.
  • Prepare presentations, proposals, and pitch materials in connection with business development opportunities.
  • Conducts market research into emerging trends in the industry.
  • Assist with required research and development of Macro-economic forecasts, Industry analysis, Competitor analysis,
  • Market Assessment, Fleet Plan.
  • Manage the Business Development Department subscriptions process for data, news, intelligence and market research bodies.
  • Helps create and maintain a Business Development plan for a new business proposal.
  • Actively support Business Development Manager's as a support function with reporting activities.
  • At all times carrying out responsibilities within the framework of NMDC's policy.
  • Ensure Department and Company needs are met in a timely and cost effective manner.
  • Ensure that the HSE requirements are observed, Provide guidelines to other staff and take a lead role in health & safety procedures.
  • This is a generalist view of a Job that you have been assigned for -at times you may be requested to do above/beyond the scope of this role due to Operational requirements.

Job Requirements

Function Specific Experience:

  • Strong Interpersonal Skills.
  • Excellent analytical and research skills.
  • Skills in the use of database management, word processing, spreadsheet, and/or presentation software.
  • Business process and work-flow design, functional requirements definition, and on-going business analysis and communications.
  • Extensive track record of management projects & Business Growth.
  • Knowledge of project budget control.
  • Industry related experience:
  • Marine & Dredging - preferred.
