Responsibilities
- Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices
- Create website layout/user interface by using standard HTML/CSS practices
- Build and Integrate data from various back-end services and databases
- Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs
- Create and maintain software documentation
- Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling the company web-sites
- Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities
- Writing code in one or more programming or scripting languages, such as PHP or JavaScript, etc..
- Planning and prototyping new applications
- Designing the architecture of the components of an application
- Deciding on the best technologies and languages for the project
- Testing sites and applications in different browsers and environments
- Fixing bugs in existing projects
- Testing new features thoroughly to ensure they perform the correct task in all cases
- Running performance benchmarking tests
- Building and testing Application Program Interfaces (APIs) for applications to exchange data
- Gathering requirements from users
- Learning and testing new technologies, frameworks and languages
- Staying up to date with new trends and advancements in web development
- Building and maintaining databases
- Documenting code so other developers can understand and contribute to it
- Designing information architecture within an application or website.
Job Requirements
- BS in computer science or a related field
- 3+ years’ hands-on experience using HTML/JavaScript/Java/CSS for designing and developing applications, UI, and interfaces.
- Problem-solving
- 3+ years’ hands-on knowledge of Relational Databases and Queries.
- Proven working experience in web programming
- Programming skills and in-depth knowledge of modern HTML/CSS
- Familiarity with at least one of the following programming languages: PHP, ASP.NET, JavaScript, Python, etc..
- A solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices
- Adequate knowledge of relational database systems, Object Oriented Programming and web application development
