Roles & Responsibilities
IT Infrastructure and Platforms will be responsible for the planning, delivery, and optimization of IT infrastructure requirements by implementing the healthcare best practices across the core infrastructure to deliver value and competitive advantage for all hospitals under the umbrella of Alameda Healthcare. The selected person will utilize expertise including knowledge of network setup, enterprise infrastructure, data protection, management, and information governance to support and improve Alameda’s Digital Roadmap and work with other service line leaders and other stakeholders to enhance the infrastructure that supports a high number of users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day IT operations and optimize team performance
- Implement solutions to enhance the availability, performance, and capacity of infrastructures such as server (physical and virtual), storage, backup, networking, end-user compute and IP telephony system, nurse call system, patient infotainment system, etc.
- Managing, monitoring, and supporting the company's internal on-premises, providing first to the third level of infrastructure support
- Monitor the deployment of cyber security applications, upgrades and overseeing access of clinical and corporate systems
- Provide insightful planning, preparation, development, and successful execution of the IT infrastructure budgets, including the management, review, and negotiation of vendor contracts
- Work closely with third-party vendors and managed service providers who provide services for the companies' infrastructure and report on Key Performance Indicators and Service Level Agreements to ensure the business get the most out of their offering and continue to invest in the latest technologies from a project implementation perspective
- Design, Implement and manage enterprise security and InfoSec policies and procedures
- Manage cross-facility hardware and support teams
- Design, implement, and manager Hyper-converged Infrastructure to support one patient-one file initiative
Job Requirements
Requirements:
- Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or related field from a recognized university.
- 8 years of work experience in IT infrastructure planning, designing, and management out of which at least 4 years in the healthcare industry.
- Experience in liaising with 3rd party vendors, researching new technologies, IT hardware selection, and configuration – Good experience in HCI implementation and cloud technology.
- Possess knowledge in Microsoft Windows/Azure/AWS, virtualization certification, and compliance knowledge.
- Self-starter with good leadership skills to manage and motivate juniors.
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving skills, and root-cause analysis.
- Passionate about technology with a high technical aptitude, a strong desire to drive technological improvements and changes.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Good to have: management and administration of cloud environment (i.e Azure)
