Job Description
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the employment life-cycle of VWN’s 30+ full-time employees.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Creation of job descriptions
- Managing the hiring process, including advertising open positions, reviewing resumes, coordinating and conducting interviews, conducting reference and background checks, drafting offer letters.
- Managing the on-boarding process for new employees
- Maintaining up-to-date personnel information and files
- Administering employee benefits
- Maintaining the employee handbook and organizational staffing chart
- Overseeing the annual employee review process
- Ensuring management actions conform to employee handbook and labor laws
- Creating policies and procedures
- Tracking employee performance documentation in coordination with field managers
- Implementing new automated hiring processes
- Coming up with new innovative processes
- Delegating tasks to HR coordinators
Job Requirements
- Highly detail-oriented.
- Able to work independently, multi-task, enjoy interfacing with other staff at all levels.
- Excellent IT skills i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Fast and accurate keyboarding skills (minimum 60 wpm).
- A demonstrable track record, gained within a fast paced and challenging commercial organization(s).
- Previous experience gained working for a highly demanding team.
- Ability to manage a voluminous workload, often with conflicting priorities and to stringent deadlines.
- Ability to manage a team of employees.
- Demonstrable experience of dealing with highly confidential and often sensitive information.
- Ability to produce clear, concise and accurate file notes, telephone messages, etc.
- Exceptionally high standards with meticulous attention to detail.
- Highly organized and a ‘completer-finisher’.
- First-class team player with a totally flexible approach.
- Pro-active with the ability to use own initiative.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Professional and personable, with diplomacy and tact.
- Self-starter with a positive and enthusiastic ‘can do’ attitude.
- Excellent command of the English language e.g. spelling, grammar and punctuation.
