Job Description
Key responsibilities
- Assembling all raw footage inputting uncut footage and sound, and synchronizing and storing them into files;
- Digitally cutting the files to put together the sequence of the film and deciding what is usable; creating a 'rough cut' (or assembly edit) of the video and determining the exact cutting for the next and final stages;
- Reordering and tweaking the content to ensure the logical sequencing and smooth running of the video.
- Inputting the design of graphic elements;
- Writing voice over/commentary and subtitles
Job Requirements
- Technically savvy and have a deep technical understanding of all video production aspects
- Minimum of 2-3 years avid editing experience, including knowledge of multi-cam synching, media compression, sound mixing, and color correction
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience in videography/editing
- Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages both Linear & Non-Linear Editing Systems (e.g. Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Speed Grade, Vegas Pro)
- Familiarity with special effects, 3D
- Strong familiarity with and use of digital content environments/ services such as YouTube, Vimeo, Sound cloud, Vine, and others
- Have an eye for framing, lighting and understanding of camera, lighting and audio equipment
- Creative mind and storytelling skills
- Proficiency in English is a must
