Job Description
The Business Development Specialist will be a key new member of the Business Development team. This global function will be responsible to manage various aspects that support Business Development (Partnerships / Strategic Alliance) activities for the company. Primary responsibilities include the development of Commercial, Reseller, and Strategic Alliance Agreements and then acting as a primary point of contact for post-deal oversight. Business development Specialist also helps to sell products or services for a particular specialized industry in order to attract new business, uses a variety of marketing techniques to attract potential customers, schedules meetings with these customers, and conducts focus groups to pinpoint consumer wants and needs.
Responsibilities :
- Develops and executes a strategy for discovering and securing new business opportunities either locally, regionally, or nationally.
- Develops negotiation strategies by evaluating risks and potentials.
- Assesses potential third part clients in terms of income potential and mission fit.
- Adapts new business strategies in accordance with the types of clients already secured by the company.
- Evaluates, determines, and realizes quarterly business growth goals.
- Represents the company at trade organizations, on committees, and during board meetings, when necessary.
- Fosters beneficial relationships with business partners, potential clients, and business contacts in order to attract new business and enhancing organization reputation.
- Analyzing and expanding business operations toward sustained growth.
- Monitoring revenue streams and identifying opportunities to increase profitability.
- Evaluating and improving sales, marketing, and branding strategies.
- Identifying and developing new lines of business based on consumer behavior.
- Performing competitor analysis toward obtaining an increased market share.
- Developing client relationships and strengthening industry partnerships.
- Identifying new clients by researching and creating networking opportunities.
- Negotiating and closing business deals that promote sustained revenue.
- Liaising with Sales, Marketing, and Management to align strategies aimed at increasing revenue.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Development or Marketing, or similar.
- Minimum of 2 years work experience as a Business Development Specialist in a related industry.
- Advanced knowledge of business development, marketing strategies, and brand expansion.
- Experience in identifying profitable business opportunities and potential clients.
- Exceptional ability to analyze market trends and competitor behavior.
- Ability to maintain strong client relationships and establish industry partnerships.
- Competency in negotiating and closing business deals.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good understanding of general business procedures, including sales and marketing, operations, inbound logistics, Information Technology, human resources, and business financing
- Excellent understanding of tools for financial evaluation, such as the break-even points, cash flows, and rations
